On October 22nd 2015, in Ho Chi Minh City, National Office in Southern Region and Korean Land, Geospatial Information Corp. had co-organized the seminar "Sharing Korean experiences on Geospatial Information Technology." Attending the seminar, there were Mr. Vu Van Khiem, Director General of National Office in Southern Region; Mr. Bui Van Quyen, Director of National Program of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development for MRD; Mr. Kim Soon-Tae, General Director of General Department of Spatial Data Business - and Korean Land, Geospatial Information Corp; Professor Oh John, University NamSeoul and representatives of the Korean companies in the field of GIS; leaders of departments in southern provinces; interested enterprises and the media.

After the opening speech of Mr Vu Van Khiem about the difficulties in management of environmental resource, urban infrastructure, transportation, … in Vietnam and the need to apply and deploy the geospatial information technology for solving the above issues, the experts from Vietnam and Korea have presented about the geospatial information technology and possible solutions for Vietnam such as Geospatial Industry status and future plan in Vietnam, Introduction of applying the geospatial information technology in smart transportation control system, Introduction of Neighbor System and GIS Application (U-City; ITS; Water resource management…), Introduction of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle - UAV (functions and applications) …
At the seminar, representatives of large enterprises have shown deep interests in the geospatial information technology and exchanged opinions, expressed the desires to find for possible transferring and applying this advanced technology into wide open market of Vietnam.
