Try Everything 2022 – “Zero to Hero: Unleashing the limits.”

“Try Everything 2022,” presented by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, will be held from September 21 (Wednesday) to September 23 (Friday) at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). The global startup festival will gather different members from the startup ecosystem, including 120 investment companies, among which are 20 foreign companies, and 1,300 startup companies, among which are 30 foreign companies– the largest scale of participants the event has seen yet ever since the yearly festival started.

Mayor Oh announced four key strategies to lead Seoul into the world’s top five startup cities. First, with an open innovation vision, 100 large and medium-sized companies and 1,000 startups will strive to grow together through active technical cooperation and accelerating.

In line with the non-face-to-face era, ‘Startup Plus’, which enables online start-ups and investor matching and technology trading, will also be operated. In addition, the Seoul Vision 2030 Fund will be set up at a scale of 5 trillion won to directly invest in information and communication technology (ICT), artificial intelligence (AI), bio, and cultural contents.

Mayor Oh also highlighted the importance of finance, manpower, and the ecosystem. He expounded, “We will spare no efforts to provide all means of support in launching the circumstances for Seoul being the financial city of Asia, such as the establishment of Invest Seoul and the Seoul Fintech Lab in Yeouido, Seoul.”

The Sandbox’ founder, Sebastien Borget -The Sandbox founder -  shared insight on ways to achieve cooperation and the sharing of information and technology between companies, cities, and nations.
