Conference on Technology Connection Vietnam - China 2015

Implementing the agreement on cooperation for connecting and transferring technology between Vietnam and China in 2015, on July 30^th 2015, in Ho Chi Minh City, Center for Science and Technology Application and Services (STAS), under National Office in Southern Region (SROMOST) – Ministry of Science and Technology; China – ASEAN Technology Transfer Center (CATTC); Department of Science and Technology in Guangxi Province (China) jointly organized a seminar on "Vietnam – China Science and Technology Business to Business Matchmaking 2015" (in the field of new energy, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture).

Attending the seminar, on the Vietnam side, there were leader representatives of state agencies such as: Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh - Deputy Director General of SROMOST; Mr. Huynh Van Ngo - Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology in Da Nang Province; Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh - Deputy Director of HoChiMinh city Department of Science and Technology and the leaders from departments, management board of Hi – Tech Park in Ho Chi Minh City and more than 100 Vietnamese delegates from enterprises, institutes and universities in the southern provinces.. On the Chinese side, there were leaders of state agencies such as Mr. Liu Jianhong - Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology in Guangxi Province, Mr. Chiang - Counselor of the Embassy of China in Vietnam, the leaders of CATTC, Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Guangxi Province, Institute of Agriculture Science in Zia Zhou City along with 15 science and technology organization, Chinese enterprises.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Director General of SROMOST – the Ministry of Science and Technology, gave opening speech at the seminar, then followed by welcome speech of Mr. Chiangg – Counselor of the Embassy of China in Vietnam, along with the speech by Mr. Liu Jianhong – Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department in Guangxi Province, China. Mr. Pham Ngoc Minh also had a presentation about the incentive policies of Vietnam to develop new energy, renewable energy, energy-saving agriculture and high-tech applications.

 Overview of the Conference

At the seminar, research institutes, universities and enterprises of China presented thematic topics (such as the development trend of current technology), shared the experiences and introduced technologies, outstanding products such as the independent solar photovoltaic system and linked power generation technology, solar energy converter, LED technology, breeding technology, technology for varieties generating; technology for post-harvest preservation, intelligent farm management system information, information system of agricultural science, information about the technologies in agriculture, etc... The discussion between the presenters and participants has created an opportunity for the organizations, enterprises in the field of new energy, renewable energy and high-tech agriculture of both countries to access new technologies of the world and in the region, connect and cooperate for technology transfer, supply of machinery, equipment and products...
At the seminar, many enterprises of Vietnam and China have met, exchanged and signed the cooperation agreements on technology transfer, factory building, research on producing varieties, products supply... with the net value more than 5 million dollars.
The seminar on "Vietnam – China Science and Technology Business to Business Matchmaking 2015" was held successfully and opened the opportunities for cooperation between the science and technology organizationts and enterprises between the two countries, Vietnam and China, in the field of new energy, renewable energy and the application of science and technology in agriculture.
